WHY GUARDIAN KNIGHTS WC OVER OTHER PROGRAMS?  YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

—COACHING STAFF:
• We currently have a coaching staff of approx. 8 coaches.
• Our coaches have a broad spectrum of experience that spans: Division-1, Division-2, Junior College, High School, Middle School and Elementary School coaching
(Please refer to the Coach’s Bios on our website)
• Our coaches live in the area, and have had or currently have kids involved in wrestling.
• We have a true desire and vested interest in growing wrestling in the Tri-Valley area.

—CURRICULUM:
• We have designed the curriculum to maximize a kid’s experience in wrestling.
• There are 4-Levels designed to accomplish this mission.
o Level-1: For beginners, who have little to no wrestling experience.
o Level-2: (Elementary School) Kid’s intermediate, kids who have a little experience, something for them to build upon.
o Level-3: (Middle School) Older kids, more advanced technique.
o Level-4: (High School) Our highest level, focusing on mastering technique and execution through training and competition.
• The curriculum is taught with consistency by our coaches.  The curriculum gradually advances through each level of our program.
• Our focus is to master basic sound fundamentals rather than teach a large variety of moves that the wrestlers may learn, but are unable to master.

—GRASS-ROOTS PROGRAM:
• Traditionally the Tri-Valley area has not been a strong area for wrestling.  GK is trying to build this area into a stronger, more competitive area for wrestling through our grass-roots program.  Our goal is to improve those kids that currently wrestle while actively recruiting new kids to come out for wrestling.  As the club grows strong, the area will also reap this benefit.
• GK aims to improve wrestlers through positive role models, training, competition and summer camps.

—PROFESSIONALISM:
• GK has recently moved into the Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu dojo (Pleasanton) which also houses other combative-style sports.
• Our new space is small, but the dojo is large, clean and professional.  As our club grows, we will expand our space.  It is the coaching that makes the program, not the space that we train in.

Wrestling Teaches Self-control and Pride

“More enduringly than any other sport, wrestling teaches self-control and pride. Some have wrestled without great skill - none have wrestled without pride.”
